MAKKAH, August 6, 2026 (WAFA) - The Muslim World League (MWL) on Thursday strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip and the continued targeting of civilians, vital facilities, and civilian infrastructure.
In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced the ongoing Israeli violations in Gaza and across the occupied Palestinian territory, describing them as blatant breaches of religious values, international law, and international humanitarian law, and as actions that undermine all efforts to achieve peace.
Al-Issa expressed the MWL’s strong support for the joint statement issued by the Foreign Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Türkiye, which called for an end to these violations and the protection of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
He emphasized the urgent need for the international community to fulfill its moral and legal responsibilities by taking immediate action to halt all Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territory.
