RAMALLAH, July 21, 2026 (WAFA) – Director General of the Palestinian Police Major General Allam al-Saqqa met on Tuesday with Head of the European Union Police Mission for the Palestinian Territories (EUPOL COPPS) Felix Andåker to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two sides.
Al-Saqqa congratulated Andåker on assuming his duties as Head of Mission, stressing the importance of the strategic partnership with EUPOL COPPS in supporting efforts to develop the police institution and build the capacities of its personnel in a manner that contributes to improving police performance and enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens.
The two sides discussed prospects for cooperation in training and qualification, capacity building, exchange of expertise, and joint projects implemented by EUPOL COPPS in cooperation with the Palestinian Police, in support of the rule of law and the advancement of police work.
For his part, Andåker affirmed his commitment to continuing to strengthen cooperation with the Palestinian Police and implementing joint programs and projects that contribute to developing police work and supporting efforts to consolidate the rule of law.
