BETHLEHEM, June 21, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Sunday issued stop-work orders for a number of homes under construction and agricultural structures in the village of Wadi Rahhal, south of Bethlehem, under the pretext of building without permits.
Secretary of the Fatah Movement in Wadi Rahhal, Zuhair Ziyada, said Israeli forces delivered stop-work notices for eight homes under construction belonging to residents Othman Mahmoud Al-Fawaghra, Samer Da'na, Ismat Sanad, Ibrahim Abu Srour, Adnan Abu Srour, and Suha Mohammad Salim, in addition to two other homes whose owners have not yet been identified.
He added that Israeli forces also ordered a halt to the completion of his own home, specifically a tiled-roof room, and issued stop-work notices for two agricultural rooms belonging to Othman Mahmoud Al-Fawaghra and Samih Abdul Karim Rahhal.
Israeli authorities continue their policy of demolishing homes and issuing stop-work and removal orders across large areas of the occupied West Bank, particularly in Area C, citing a lack of permits while imposing severe restrictions on Palestinians seeking building licenses.
