HEBRON, June 20, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian shepherds on Saturday evening in the the Bedouin community of Khirbet Dkeika in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to local sources.
Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA that armed Israeli colonists assaulted shepherds in the area and attempted to attack them and steal their livestock.
He said the attack took place under the protection of Israeli soldiers, who detained three local Palestinians. No injuries were immediately reported.
The incident is the latest in a series of attacks targeting Palestinian residents and herding communities in Masafer Yatta, an area that has witnessed a rise in assaults by Israeli colonists and forces in recent years.
