QALQILYA, June 21, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Sunday obstructed the movement of Palestinian residents after closing the main entrance to the village of Nabi Elias, located east of Qalqilya in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources said Israeli soldiers shut the village’s main entrance using an iron gate and prevented residents from passing through, disrupting access to workplaces and forcing commuters to use longer alternative routes.
According to a report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, there are currently 916 military checkpoints and gates across the occupied West Bank, including 243 gates installed since October 7, 2023.
The closure is the latest in a series of movement restrictions imposed on Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank.
