TEL AVIV, June 21, 2026 (WAFA) – Hard-right Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on Sunday called for full Israeli control over the Gaza Strip, the establishment of an Israeli military administration there, and the re-establishment of Israeli settlements in the territory.

According to remarks cited by Hadashot 360, Smotrich said Israel should assume complete control of the Gaza Strip and administer it through an Israeli military government.

He also advocated resettling the Gaza Strip with Israeli settlers, arguing that “there is no other solution.”
