"Their Names Are Not Numbers" campaign concludes after 72-hour broadcast honoring Palestinian children

RAMALLAH, May 3, 2026 (WAFA) – The "Their Names Are Not Numbers" campaign concluded on Sunday following more than 72 hours of continuous media broadcasting, aimed at highlighting the names of Palestinian children who lost their lives and affirming their human presence in the collective memory.

The campaign was organized by the Arab International Center for Research and Strategic Studies, headed by Walaa Battat, who led the humanitarian initiative to document the names of children and preserve their stories, ensuring they are not reduced to statistics.

During the campaign, thousands of names were recited across various media platforms, sending a message that the victims are not merely numbers, but children with dreams, lives, and futures left unfulfilled.

The initiative was held in partnership with the Palestinian Official Media, represented by Minister Ahmad Assaf, who played a pivotal role in supporting and ensuring the success of the event by mobilizing media and technical capabilities to sustain the broadcast and deliver its message to the world.

Organizers stressed that this initiative does not mark the end of their efforts, but rather the beginning of an ongoing project to document names and stories, raise humanitarian awareness, and preserve memory in the face of attempts at erasure and oblivion.

The campaign received widespread engagement at both Arab and international levels, with the participation of media professionals and institutions from various countries, in a collective affirmation that a child’s right to life is inalienable and that humanitarian justice requires this cause to remain alive in the world’s conscience.

At the conclusion of the campaign, the organizers extended their gratitude to all partners and supporters, affirming that the names will remain in collective memory and that the message will continue until humanitarian justice is achieved.
