RAMALLAH, March 13, 2026 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas sent condolences to the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, on the passing of the Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs in the sultanate, Fahd bin Mahmoud bin Mohammed Al Said.
In his message, President Abbas stated: "With hearts trusting in God’s will, we received the news of the passing of the late Fahd bin Mahmoud bin Mohammed Al Said during these blessed days of the holy month of Ramadan, after a life dedicated to elevating his country and people and contributing to the development and progress recognized throughout the sultanate."
He added that on behalf of the State and people of Palestine, and in his own name, he extends heartfelt brotherly condolences to the family of the deceased and to the Omani people, praying to God to grant him mercy and paradise, and to protect Oman and its people with all good and prosperity.
President Abbas also sent a similar message to the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers of Oman, Kamel bin Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, and to the Al Said family, expressing sincere condolences and prayers for patience and solace for the bereaved.
