TULKARM, August 28, 2026 (WAFA) – Loud explosions and gunfire from Israeli forces were heard this evening inside the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm city, local sources reported.
Sources said that explosions were heard at varying intervals inside the camp, but their exact nature remained unclear.
The ongoing military assault on the camp has entered its 574th consecutive day, resulting in widespread destruction of local infrastructure and property, as well as the seizure of Palestinian homes, which have been converted into military outposts after their residents were forcibly displaced.
Israeli forces have also continued to impose stringent measures on the camp, including a tight siege and preventing residents from entering, amid difficult humanitarian conditions facing those who have been displaced.
