GAZA, August 28, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian was killed, and others were injured this evening in an Israeli shelling targeting a tent sheltering displaced persons in the Al-Mashahara area, east of Gaza City, local sources reported.

Sources reported that the body of a slain Palestinian and several injured individuals were transferred to Al-Shifa Medical Complex following the shelling of a tent sheltering a large number of displaced people.

The latest attack brought the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza since dawn today to five.

Israeli forces have continued to carry out airstrikes and artillery shelling across various parts of Gaza City, amid ongoing artillery fire targeting the city's eastern and northern areas.
