State of Palestine condemns Iranian attacks on Oman

RAMALLAH, March 1, 2026 (WAFA) — The State of Palestine condemned on Sunday the Iranian attacks targeting the port of Duqm in the sisterly Sultanate of Oman.

Palestine affirmed its rejection of any violation of Oman’s sovereignty or attacks against it by any party, stressing that these assaults constitute a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

The statement emphasized the solidarity of the Palestinian people with the Omani people and other Arab nations affected by Iranian attacks, expressing full support for measures taken by these countries to protect their security and populations.

Palestine also praised the crucial mediation efforts undertaken by Oman to reach a peaceful solution before the outbreak of armed conflict.

The statement reaffirmed Palestine's firm position on prioritizing dialogue and peaceful means, avoiding war and escalation, and adhering to international law to strengthen regional and international peace and security.

It noted President Mahmoud Abbas's call to convene an emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers and a session of the UN Security Council to address the serious challenges facing the region and its countries’ sovereignty.
