NABLUS, December 30, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian civilian on Tuesday evening sustained an injury from Israeli army fire in Ureif village, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources.
They said that a convoy of Israeli army vehicles stormed the village, and the gun-toting soldiers opened fire at a civilian’s family house, injuring an occupant in the face.
The casualty was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. There was no immediate information on his condition.
The occupation forces also opened fire at a vehicle on the road linking Ureif to the nearby village of Einabus, causing it to veer off its course and setting it on fire.
The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
