The UNGA passed the first resolution on Palestinian refugees with 151 states voting in favor, showing near‑universal backing for Palestinian refugees’ rights. Only 11 states opposed and 11 abstained, underscoring Israel’s growing isolation on the world stage.

The second UNGA Resolution on the UN agency for Palestinian refugees’ (UNRWA) operations was overwhelmingly passed with 145 states voting in favor, showing universal backing for renewing the Agency’s mandate for three years. Only 10 states voted against the decision, and 18 others abstained.

The third UNGA Resolution on Palestinian refugees’ properties and revenues was passed with a total of 157 states voting in favor. Only 10 states voted against the resolution, and nine others abstained.

The fourth UNGA Resolution is concerned with the work of the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories. It received the support of 88 states, with 19 states voting against, and 64 others abstaining.

The fifth UNGA Resolution, regarding the Israeli colonies in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem, and the occupied Syrian Golan, received the support of 146 states, with 13 states voting against, and 17 others abstaining.

The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Minister Riyad Mansour, thanked the states for this broad support and for the growing sympathy of the international community, especially regarding the issue of Palestinian refugees, which comes amid the brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
