RAMALLAH, November 27, 2025 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas said today that the convening of the Fatah Youth Conference in the northern governorates constitutes an important national milestone that renews hope for the future and reflects the Fatah movement’s commitment to the democratic approach and national unity.
In his address to the General Conference of Fatah Youth in the northern governorates, titled “From Jerusalem to Gaza… steadfast on our land, faithful to our pledge,” held at the Presidential Headquarters in Ramallah on Thursday, President Mahmoud Abbas said the Palestinian cause is at a dangerous turning point, facing immense challenges.
The President noted that the occupation continues its aggression and crimes, targeting Jerusalem, its people, and its holy sites—particularly Al-Aqsa Mosque—as well as the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, while attacking the Palestinian people in the West Bank and maintaining the siege on Gaza after destroying it almost completely.
The President paid tribute to those killed, the wounded, and the detainees, affirming that the State of Palestine will be realized as free, independent, and fully sovereign, regardless of the escalating challenges.
President Abbas emphasized that this conference is a continuation of a long national struggle led by the Fatah movement since its launch, noting that Palestinian youth have always been at the forefront—from the Stone Intifada to confronting the occupation in all arenas—and that victory is achieved through youth, their conviction in their rightful cause, and a resolve unshaken by hardships.
The President underscored the aim of nurturing a generation of Palestinians fortified with national awareness, conscious of its national identity, and equipped with knowledge and experience—one that rectifies mistakes and speaks out against them.
