RAMALLAH, November 21, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed today Singapore’s decision to impose sanctions on four leaders of Israeli settlers involved in serious crimes and violations against Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank.
In a statement, the ministry said the move reflects Singapore’s clear and responsible stance against the organized violence perpetrated by settler militias, and its refusal of any attempts to unilaterally alter the legal status of occupied Palestinian land through illegal measures.
It added that the decision marks an important step toward holding settlers and extremist Israeli government officials accountable, and sends a firm international message to oppose settlement policies and ethnic cleansing undermining prospects for peace.
The ministry placed full responsibility for ongoing settler violence on the Israeli occupation government, calling it a direct partner in providing settlers with political and security protection to carry out systematic attacks against Palestinian civilians.
The statement urged the international community, including all countries, to build on Singapore’s step by taking decisive and effective measures to hold settler leaders and their backers accountable, and impose sanctions on anyone participating in crimes against the Palestinian people, consistent with international law and principles of justice.
