RAMALLAH, October 2, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohamed Mustafa discussed with his Dutch counterpart, Dick Schoof, during a phone call on Thursday the latest developments in Palestine, amid Israeli's ongoing war against Gaza and the escalating colonists and military violence and attacks in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
Mustafa praised the Netherlands' stance in calling for an end to the war and the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip, as well as measures against settlements and colonist violence, and its support for the two-state solution and the New York Declaration.
He discussed with his Dutch counterpart the need for his country to recognize the State of Palestine and join the countries that have already done so in order to safeguard the two-state solution.
Prime Minister also called for joining the emergency and urgent funding mechanism to support Palestine, pressuring Israel to release withheld Palestinian funds, and supporting the government's efforts to implement its reform and institutional development program.
He emphasized the importance of convening a joint committee between the two countries as soon as possible to enhance cooperation at all levels, in addition to supporting UNRWA and ensuring its continued provision of services to Palestinian refugees.
