GAZA, September 20, 2025 (WAFA) – At least 11 Palestinians were killed on Saturday evening in a new Israeli airstrike targeting a residential block in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, as the ongoing assault on the Strip intensifies.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes bombed a densely populated area in Sabra, causing widespread destruction and burying victims beneath the rubble. In addition to the confirmed fatalities, several people were wounded or reported missing.
This latest strike adds to the mounting toll of the day, with the number of Palestinians killed since dawn Saturday rising to at least 90, according to medical sources. Most of the casualties have been recorded in Gaza City, which has come under relentless bombardment in recent days.
Since Israel launched its war on Gaza in October 2023, over 65,000 Palestinians—the majority of them children and women—have been killed, with more than 166,000 injured, according to local health authorities. Thousands are also feared missing under the rubble.
Israel's genocidal onslaught continues unabated despite calls from the United Nations Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and address the deteriorated humanitarian situation in Gaza.
