Israeli soldiers blow up home, detain two Palestinians in Ramallah

RAMALLAH, September 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained two Palestinians from the Ramallah area in the central West Bank early Friday morning after surrounding two homes and blowing up one of them, causing significant destruction.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces stormed the village of Surda, north of Ramallah, and besieged a house where a Palestinian youth identified as Abdullah Mahmoud al-Rimawi was sheltering. Soldiers fired live ammunition at the house and launched a shoulder-fired missile, igniting parts of the building’s exterior. Al-Rimawi later surrendered himself to the Israeli troops.

Following his detention, occupation forces detonated large parts of the house, resulting in a fire that completely destroyed a vehicle parked nearby and caused extensive damage to the property’s contents.

In a separate incident, Israeli forces raided the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, where they surrounded a home and arrested another young man. Soldiers also stormed several commercial stores in the town, breaking down their doors and causing property damage.

Meanwhile, in central Ramallah, occupation forces raided a café on Rukab Street, vandalizing the premises and leaving behind widespread damage.
