Doha Summit: Aggression against Qatar, ongoing Israeli practices undermine regional peace opportunities

DOHA, September 15, 2025 (WAFA) – The emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha affirmed on Monday that the Israeli aggression against Qatar and incessant aggressive Israeli practices—including genocide, ethnic cleansing, starvation, siege, and colonization and expansionist policies—undermine any chances for peace in the region.

The final statement of the summit stressed the need to stand against Israel’s plans to impose a new reality in the region, as this poses a direct threat to regional and international stability and security.

It reiterated the condemnation of any Israeli attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their territory occupied since 1967 under any pretext, considering this a crime against humanity, a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian law, and a policy of ethnic cleansing that is totally and completely rejected.

The summit emphasized the necessity of implementing the Arab-Islamic plan for reconstruction, in both its political and technical aspects.

It stressed the urgency of commencing Gaza reconstruction, calling on international donors to provide the necessary support and encouraging them to actively participate in the Gaza reconstruction conference planned to be hosted in Cairo once a ceasefire is reached.

The summit statement condemned Israel’s policies that have caused an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, where siege, starvation, and the banning of the entry of food and medicine are used as weapons of warfare against the Palestinian people, in a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.

It emphasized that these practices constitute a full-fledged war crime, requiring urgent action from the international community to put an end to them and ensure the immediate, safe, and unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid to all parts of the occupied Palestinian territory.
