DOHA, September 15, 2025 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas met on Monday in Doha with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the sidelines of the emergency Arab-Islamic summit convened to discuss the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar.
President Abbas briefed Sheikh Abdullah on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian Territory and the region, stressing the ongoing efforts to halt the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, expedite the entry of humanitarian aid, secure the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, and end the attacks carried out by occupation forces and extremist colonists against Palestinians in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem.
The two sides also discussed Palestinian-Emirati relations and ways to strengthen cooperation in various fields.
President Abbas also met with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, where he discussed similar issues, including the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, the urgent need to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, and means of enhancing bilateral relations with each country in a way that serves the interests of their brotherly peoples.
The President further met with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Comoros President Azali Assoumani, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court, as well as Prince Moulay Rachid, representative of King Mohammed VI of Morocco, for talks on the latest developments and bilateral relations.
