Two more deaths from malnutrition amid ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza

GAZA, September 14, 2025 (WAFA) – Two more Palestinians have died in the past 24 hours due to famine and severe malnutrition, bringing the total number of famine-related deaths in the Gaza Strip to 422, including 145 children, according to hospital sources.

Medical facilities across Gaza report a constant influx of malnutrition and starvation cases, with 900,000 children currently suffering from hunger. Of those, at least 70,000 have entered the stage of clinical malnutrition, requiring urgent medical intervention.

The worsening crisis is being driven by the ongoing Israeli blockade, which has restricted the entry of food, medical aid, and essential supplies into the besieged enclave for months.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) previously warned that the rate of malnutrition among children under five has doubled between March and June 2025, confirming the devastating impact of the blockade on the most vulnerable population.

Hospitals, already overwhelmed by war casualties and critically low on medical supplies, are now battling the added burden of treating starvation-related illnesses, often without the necessary resources.

Humanitarian organizations continue to call for immediate and unhindered access to deliver food and medical aid to Gaza, as the famine tightens its grip on the civilian population.
