GAZA, September 12, 2025 (WAFA) – The ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza City has caused large-scale destruction of infrastructure and residential areas in less than a week, adding to the devastation inflicted since the Israeli genocide began in October 2023.
Data collected show that Israeli forces destroyed 12 residential buildings of more than seven stories, comprising about 500 apartments, displacing over 10,000 people. More than 120 smaller buildings, averaging three stories each, were also bombed, forcing more than 7,200 residents from their homes.
Over 500 additional buildings sustained partial damage, depriving nearly 30,000 people of shelter.
In parallel, more than 600 tents housing displaced families were destroyed, leaving at least 6,000 more people without refuge. Ten schools and five mosques were also completely demolished.
According to the figures, more than 50,000 residents of Gaza, including children, women, and the elderly, have been left homeless in less than a week, amid an escalating humanitarian catastrophe.
