JENIN, September 11, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces (IOF) destroyed trees and crops in Burqin plain, west of Jenin, on Thursday.
Burqin Mayor Hassan Sobh told WAFA that Israeli occupation forces destroyed zucchini seedlings and six olive trees planted on a three-dunam plot of land belonging to citizen Allam Saeed Al-Asi, causing losses of between 25,000 and 30,000 shekels (about $1,000). Al-Asi was awaiting the first harvest of his crops.
He confirmed that the occupation forces assault citizens daily and harass them through continuous incursions and checkpoints.
He pointed out that IOF vehicles are present on the town's streets almost daily, especially in the Burqin Valley area near the boys' school, posing a danger to students on their way to and from school.
