JERUSALEM, September 11, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces tightened on Thursday their military measures at the Tunnel military checkpoint, which links the towns of Biddu and al-Jib, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, according to local sources.
They said that the occupation forces tightened their military measures at the Tunnel checkpoint, checking citizens' IDs and searching their vehicles, causing severe traffic congestion and delays.
For the fourth consecutive day, villages and towns north of Jerusalem have been subjected to a widespread campaign of house raids and arrests in the towns of Qatanna, al-Qubayba, and Biddu, as well as attacks on citizens, some of whom have been detained and interrogated in the field.
These restrictions have severely disrupted daily life, causing massive traffic jams, hindering thousands of residents from reaching schools and workplaces, and forcing shops to close. Patients with chronic illnesses were also reported to be suffering due to the closures.
