Israeli forces physically assault Palestinian man near Israeli military checkpoint in Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, September 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces assaulted a Palestinian man on Wednesday at the Tunnel military checkpoint, linking the towns of Biddu and al-Jib, located northwest of occupied Jerusalem.

Eyewitnesses said that Israeli soldiers stationed at the checkpoint physically assaulted a young man, photographed the youths, and abused them.

In a related development, Israeli forces demolished a wall in the town of Beit Anan, bulldozed and closed secondary roads within the town, and closed the roads connecting the towns of Beit Anan and al-Qubayba, northwest of Jerusalem.

According to local sources, Israeli troops prevented residents of the town of Qatanna, northwest of Jerusalem, from leaving and entering their land, while secondary roads were sealed off.

For the third consecutive day, Israeli forces continue to tighten their military measures in the towns northwest of Jerusalem, particularly at the tunnel checkpoint, where soldiers inspect IDs and search vehicles.

These restrictions have severely disrupted daily life, causing massive traffic jams, hindering thousands of residents from reaching schools and workplaces, and forcing shops to close. Patients with chronic illnesses were also reported to be suffering due to the closures.
