GAZA, September 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced the deaths of five Palestinians, including a child,  in the past 24 hours due to starvation and malnutrition in the Gaza Strip.

This brings the total number of the starvation-related fatalities to 404, including 141 children.

Cases of malnutrition and famine are arriving at hospitals in Gaza at any given moment. Some 900,000 children in Gaza are suffering from hunger, 70,000 of whom have entered the malnutrition stage.

The ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip continues to worsen, due to the blockade and shortages of food and medical supplies. The severe famine is intertwined with the genocidal war waged by Israel since October 7, 2023.

Since March 2, 2025, the occupying authorities have closed all crossings with the Gaza Strip, blocking the entry of most food and medical aid, further accelerating the spread of famine across the territory.
