TULKAREM, September 8, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Monday tightened their military measures at the entrances to the city of Tulkarem, stopping and inspecting vehicles and hindering the movement of Palestinian residents, according to local sources.
Sources told WAFA that Israeli forces installed a new iron gate beneath the Jabara Bridge at the southern entrance to the city, along with concrete blocks, and prevented vehicles from passing through, resulting in a heavy traffic jam in both directions.
Meanwhile, at the Enav military checkpoint east of Tulkarem, soldiers stopped vehicles entering and exiting the city, carried out inspections, held several vehicles, checked passengers’ identity cards, and subjected some to interrogation.
