Ramallah, September 3, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich threatened to destroy the Palestinian National Authority, as happened in the Gaza Strip.

During a press conference with heads of colonies councils titled "The Sovereignty Plan," Smotrich attacked the United Nations conference and the countries that will recognize the Palestinian state.

He said, "Annexing the West Bank is our tool to confront the political assault on Israel through international recognition."

He explained, "Israel absolutely opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state because it poses a threat to its security. There is a broad consensus on annexing the West Bank, and the time has come to annex it and eliminate the option of establishing a Palestinian state."
