QALQILYA, August 28, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities issued two military orders to seize Palestinian-owned lands from the village of Jinsafut, east of Qalqilya.

According to the Settlement File Department in the Qalqilya Governorate, the two military orders aim to seize approximately 16 dunams of Palestinian land  for the construction of new settlement road segments.

One order aims to connect the illegal colony of Yakir to the Karnei Shomron colony, while thw other seeks to connect the Immanuel colony to the Karnei Shomron outpost.

These two colonies are built on the lands of the villages of Jinsafut, Amatin, Kafr Laqif, Far'ata, and Deir Istiya. This will strengthen the network of bypass roads designated for serving the colonies occupying Palestinian lands in the area.

The department warned  that such decisions will deprive approximately 150 Palestinian farmers from accessing their agricultural lands, even if they obtain permits from the occupation authorities. The orders are based on the pretext that the lands are located adjacent to colonial roads that are prohibited to approach.
