GAZA, August 24, 2025 (WAFA) – Five Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Sunday as Israeli occupation forces carried out attacks across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip, including strikes on civilians waiting for humanitarian aid and densely populated neighborhoods.
Emergency medical teams reported that one person was killed and others wounded while waiting for aid near the GHF aid distribution center north of Rafah, in the southern part of the Strip.
A medical source at Al-Awda Hospital confirmed that three more Palestinians were killed and others injured by Israeli gunfire while waiting for humanitarian assistance near the Netzarim corridor in central Gaza.
In a separate incident, a woman was killed when an Israeli airstrike targeted a school sheltering displaced families in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City. The Israeli air force also launched a raid near Al-Shafi’i Mosque in the same area.
Meantime, local sources said Israeli artillery shelled multiple locations east of Gaza City, while residential buildings in the southern part of the city were blown up by the Israeli military.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 62,622 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 157,673 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
