HEBRON, August 21, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces (IOF) imposed a curfew on several neighborhoods in the Old City of Hebron on Thursday and raided several homes.
Activist Aref Jaber told WAFA that the IOF escalated the repressive measures against residents in most neighborhoods of the Old City, imposing strict curfews in the Jaber, Salaymeh, and Wadi al-Hussein neighborhoods east of the city. They raided and searched several homes in these areas and checked the IDs of their owners.
He added that the IOF have been imposing repressive measures on more than 11 neighborhoods in the Old City since October 7, 2023. Since then, they have been subjected to an evening curfew and a complete curfew on Fridays and Saturdays.
They also prevent residents from leaving their homes and impose strict restrictions on their movement. They are also subjected to daily harassment by IOF soldiers and armed settler groups.
