BETHLEHEM, August 21, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces demolished today a residential room in the village of 'Arab al-Rashayida, east of Bethlehem, according to a security source.
A security source told WAFA correspondent that an Israeli army force stormed the village and began demolishing a room owned by a local citizen, as part of the ongoing Israeli policy to tighten the noose on Palestinian residents in the eastern area of the governorate.
The village and its surrounding areas are frequently targeted by Israeli forces through demolitions and expulsion orders, deepening the residents’ suffering and threatening their steadfastness on their land.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces also demolished an agricultural structure in the village of Al-Khas, east of Bethlehem.
The head of the village council, Khader Hamdan, told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the eastern area of the village and demolished a 40-square-meter agricultural facility.
Hamdan noted that the owner received a demolition notice about a month ago with an unreasonably short deadline, adding that the targeting of agricultural structures is part of a systematic policy to tighten the noose on farmers, deprive them of their livelihoods, and restrict both residential and agricultural expansion in the area.
