JERUSALEM, August 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation intelligence summoned Shadi al-Mutwar, Secretary of the Fatah Movement in Jerusalem, for investigation on Wednesday.
The intelligence service issued a decision renewing the previous ban on him entering the West Bank.
The Jerusalem Governorate explained that al-Mutwar has been subjected to a series of ongoing restrictions and arbitrary measures for more than six years. The occupation authorities attempt to deter him from engaging in any political or national activity, which they consider an embodiment of Palestinian sovereignty in the Holy City. The occupation authorities seek to combat this activity by persecuting national symbols and active leaders there.
This summon comes within the framework of the systematic policy pursued by the occupation against Jerusalemite figures, with the aim of undermining any official or popular Palestinian presence in Jerusalem and imposing an alternative reality that serves its colonial and Judaization plans.
