GAZA, August 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Medical sources reported on Saturday that the death toll from the starvation campaign imposed by Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip has surged to 251, including 108 children.
They said that "Gaza hospitals recorded 11 deaths within 24 hours, including a child, due to acute malnutrition."
Since March 2, Israel has closed all crossings into Gaza, banning the entry of humanitarian aid, plunging the Strip into a state of famine despite relief trucks accumulating at its borders. Israel allows in limited quantities that do not meet the minimum needs of the starving Palestinians.
Recently, the United Nations World Food Programme warned that "a third of Gaza's population (out of approximately 2.4 million Palestinians) has not eaten for several days."
