JERUSALEM, August 13, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities issued demolition and evacuation orders on Wednesday for more than 13 residential, agricultural, and industrial facilities in the Wadi al-Houd area of the town of al-Eizariya, southeast of Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate explained in a statement that these orders come as part of a plan to pave the way for the so-called "Fabric of Life Road" colonial project.
It noted that this step came one day after the distribution of approximately 14 similar orders in the Wadi al-Jamal and Jabal al-Baba areas. It was preceded by another campaign a few days earlier, which included the issuance of 13 orders at the entrance to al-Eizariya, threatening to separate Wadi al-Jamal and Jabal al-Baba from the town and completely isolate it.
The Governorate confirmed that these measures are part of a comprehensive Judaization plan that links this colonial project to broader plans such as the "E1" project and the "Greater Jerusalem" plan, which aim to expand settlements and sever the geographical contiguity between Jerusalem and the West Bank.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission monitored the occupation authorities' notifications of 33 Palestinian facilities for demolition last month. These were concentrated in the Bethlehem Governorate with 19 notifications, Hebron with 6, Qalqilya and Tubas with 3, and Tulkarm and Jerusalem with 1 each.
