JERUSALEM, August 5, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Hizma, north of occupied Jerusalem, on Tuesday, and brutally attacked Palestinian residents, according to eyewitnesses.
They told WAFA that the occupation forces fired tear gas canisters at the residents, causing dozens of suffocation cases, including children, women, and the elderly, after they raided a building belonging to the Subaih family. The occupation forces stormed the town in preparation for the demolition of a building.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by heavy bulldozers, stormed the Bayader area of Hizma and gave the family of detainee Ahmed Fayez Subaih al-Khatib one hour to evacuate their building, prior to its demolition.
Tragically, the demolition order coincided with the planned wedding celebration of the family’s son, Fayez Sbeih, which was scheduled to take place later this evening.
The town of Hizma has been subjected to repeated attacks by occupation forces as part of the collective punishment policy against Palestinian areas surrounding occupied Jerusalem.
