JENIN, August 3, 2025 (WAFA) – Two young Palestinian girls were wounded by Israeli live fire in the city of Jenin, north of the occupied West Bank, on Sunday afternoon, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
The girls, aged 12 and 16, were shot in the legs by Israeli forces in the al-Jabriyat neighborhood. Medical teams provided first aid on the scene before transferring them to Jenin Governmental Hospital for treatment.
The city of Jenin and its refugee camp have been under an ongoing Israeli offensive since January 21. The assault has so far resulted in the forcible displacement of the entire population of the refugee camp, estimated at nearly 17,000, and the demolition of dozens of homes within the camp.
