GAZA, June 26, 2025 (WAFA) – Eight civilians were killed and several others injured on Monday evening in Israeli airstrikes targeting Gaza City and the Nuseirat refugee camp.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli drones targeted a group of civilians on Al-Rasheed Street in western Gaza City, killing five and injuring others.
Three more civilians were killed in a separate Israeli airstrike that hit a tent in the southwestern area of Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
The death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 59,921, the majority of whom were women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023. At least 145,233 others have also been injured.
Medical sources confirmed that since Israel broke its ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip on March 18, 2025, at least 8,755 civilians have been killed and 33,192 others have been injured.
Sources stated that 100 bodies, including three that were recovered from under rubble, and 382 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza during the past 24 hours.
The sources indicated that, over the past 24 hours, 25 civilians have been killed and more than 237 others have been injured while attempting to receive humanitarian aid. This brings the total number of aid seekers killed in aid-related attacks to 1,157. At least 7,758 aid seekers were also injured.
Gaza hospitals recorded 14 new deaths from starvation and malnutrition, bringing the total number of deaths from starvation and malnutrition to 147, including 88 children.
This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.
