GAZA, July 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Seven civilians, including a child, were killed and several others wounded today, Sunday, after Israeli occupation forces bombed tents sheltering displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis city in southern Gaza, in a new crime added to the ongoing record of Israeli violations against civilians.
In a significant field development, the Israeli army on Sunday issued new forced evacuation orders for areas in Deir al-Balah Governorate in central Gaza, marking the first such directive since the start of the ongoing aggression. The orders apply to all individuals in the southwestern part of the city, including those living in tents, specifically in blocks 130, 132–134, 136–139, and 2351. The move has sparked fears of a renewed military escalation in the already overcrowded and heavily displaced region.
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 58,895. At least 140,980 others have also been wounded.
The ministry added that since dawn today, a total of 73 aid seekers have been killed, including 67 in northern Gaza, with over 150 injuries, some of which are in critical condition.
Medical sources explained that since the resumption of the aggression following the ceasefire on March 18, the number of civilians killed has reached 8,066, while the number of wounded has climbed to 28,939.
Many victims remain trapped under rubble or in the streets, with rescue and ambulance teams unable to reach them due to heavy bombardment and the dangerous conditions on the ground.
Israeli forces continue to commit crimes against civilians in Gaza, as warnings intensify over an escalating humanitarian catastrophe. With health systems collapsing, living conditions deteriorating, and repeated attacks on shelters and humanitarian aid centers, the situation remains critical across the Strip.
