Israeli occupation forces detain multiple Palestinians across the West Bank

RAMALLAH, July 18, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained several Palestinian citizens during raids carried out across various areas of the occupied West Bank early Friday morning.

In the town of Dura, south of Hebron, five Palestinians were detained following an Israeli military raid, according to local and Palestinian security sources. Additionally, troops raided the home of a local resident and searched several neighboring houses, reportedly ransacking their contents.

In the Qalqilya district, six Palestinians were detained during a raid on the village of Kafr Laqif, east of the city. Among those detained were members of two families. Israeli forces also stormed the nearby village of Sir, where they detained two more Palestinians after searching their homes.

In Bethlehem, a Palestinian man was detained after being summoned by Israeli intelligence to the Gush Etzion settlement bloc. The individual was taken into custody upon arrival.

In Nablus, Israeli forces detained two Palestinians during a violent overnight raid. One of the two was shot with live ammunition before being detained. Medical crews from the Palestinian Red Crescent were reportedly prevented from reaching the injured man.

Another individual was also detained after forces raided and searched his home in the Askar New Camp, east of the city.

These detentions are part of ongoing Israeli military assaults across the West Bank, which often include home raids, property searches, and the detention of civilians.
