GAZA, July 16, 2025 (WAFA) – A number of citizens were killed and injured early Wednesday morning as a result of Israeli occupation forces' shelling of several areas in the Gaza Strip.
WAFA correspondent reported that four citizens, including three children, were killed when the occupation forces shelled a tent for displaced people near the Al-Rabi' Hall in Nuseirat Camp 2 in central Gaza Strip. Another citizen was killed and others were injured when the Al-Safa Tower in the camp was shelled.
He added that two citizens were killed and others were injured when an Israeli airstrike targeted a home belonging to the Al-Hattab family in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.
In Khan Yunis, two citizens were killed and others were injured when the occupation forces shelled the tents of displaced people behind the Al-Attar station in the Al-Mawasi area, west of the city. A 6-year-old child was also killed and others were injured when the tents of displaced people near the Tiberias station in Al-Mawasi were shelled.
Our correspondent noted that violent explosions were heard in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, resulting from the Israeli army's demolition of residential homes in the neighborhood, with smoke rising from the area.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, the occupying power, has been waging a genocidal war in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
The genocide has left more than 197,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced, and famine has claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.
