GAZA, June 23, 2025 (WAFA) – Five civilians were killed and several others were injured on Monday after Israeli forces opened fire on gatherings of civilians waiting to receive humanitarian aid near Bianco Resort west of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.
Palestine Red Crescent medics reported that three of the victims and six injured were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City following a direct attack by Israeli forces on aid seekers along the Al-Rashid Coastal Road northwest of Gaza.
Medical sources confirmed that more aid seekers in the same area were struck by direct gunfire from Israeli soldiers, with numerous cases recorded.
The Palestine Red Crescent medics also reported that three more civilians were killed and others were injured in Israeli shelling targeting a group of people near Al-Hashimiya School in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City.
According to the latest reports, the death toll among aid seekers has risen to 17, with more than 136 injuries recorded on Monday alone at various aid distribution centers across the Gaza Strip. This brings the total death toll among aid seekers to 467, with over 3,602 injuries since the start of the ongoing Israeli genocide.
Hospital sources in Gaza also confirmed that 35 civilians were killed since dawn Monday in various locations across the Strip, including 17 aid seekers.
Since the Israeli aggression began on October 7, 2023, the overall death toll in Gaza has reached 55,998. At least 131,559 others have also been injured.
Many victims remain trapped under rubble or scattered on roads, as emergency and civil defense teams face severe challenges in reaching them due to ongoing bombardment and extremely hazardous conditions on the ground.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces blew up residential buildings east of Jabalia town in northern Gaza, causing extensive destruction as part of a systematic policy to destroy residential areas.
