BETHLEHEM, June 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities issued a verbal notice on Thursday to halt work on a piece of agricultural land in the village of Wadi al-Nis, south of Bethlehem.
According to Salim Abu Hammad, head of the Wadi al-Nis Village Council, an Israeli military unit stormed the village and verbally ordered a local resident to stop construction work, which included building cement retaining walls around a plot of land in the village. The owner was warned that the structures would later be demolished.
The forces also seized an excavator belonging to another resident, which was being used on the site. The land, approximately 10 dunums (around 2.5 acres), was intended for agricultural development.
In a related incident, a Palestinian security source told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the area surrounding the Bilal Bin Rabah Mosque at the northern entrance to Bethlehem and confiscated a concrete pump that was in operation at the time.
These incidents are part of ongoing Israeli restrictions and measures impacting Palestinian development and daily life in the occupied West Bank.
