Israeli forces detain 60 Palestinians from the West Bank

RAMALLAH, June 18, 2025 (WAFA) - From yesterday evening until Wednesday morning, Israeli occupation forces launched an detention campaign targeting at least 60 citizens from the West Bank, including a woman, children, and former prisoners.

The Commission of Prisoners' Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) stated that the detention and field investigations were distributed across most of the West Bank governorates.

Meanwhile, the occupation continues to raid several towns in several governorates, converting homes into military barracks and field investigation centers.

Furthermore, the occupation continues to escalate its arrests and field investigations at an accelerating pace.

The number of detention in the West Bank since the beginning of this week has reached at least 160, some of whom were later released.

It is noteworthy that the occupation has adopted a series of policies and crimes in the various areas it invades and carries out arrest operations in the West Bank. The most prominent of these policies is field execution, as occurred tonight with the slain youth Moataz Al-Hajjleh from the town of Al-Walaja/Bethlehem, who was killed after being shot by the occupation forces during his detention.

It is worth noting that the detention campaigns and the accompanying field investigations, as well as the actions the occupation is waging against our people, are an extension of the war of extermination.

Detention operations have been, and continue to be, the most prominent, consistent, and systematic policies employed by the occupation to undermine any escalating resistance against it.
