Israeli occupation forces install iron gate at entrance to Duma village, south of Nablus

NABLUS, June 14, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces today installed an iron gate today at the entrance to the village of Duma, located south of Nablus, effectively sealing off the only road leading in and out of the village.

According to Suleiman Dawabsha, head of the Duma Village Council, the Israeli military closed the village’s sole access point by installing the gate, significantly impacting residents’ ability to move freely.

Dawabsha explained that due to Duma's geographical location, it is one of the few villages in the area that has no direct road connections to neighboring communities. As a result, the blocked entrance serves as the village’s only vital link to the outside world.

The closure is expected to severely affect daily life in Duma, limiting access to essential services and isolating the residents from nearby areas.
