NABLUS, June 9, 2025 (WAFA) – A group of Israeli colonists erected a tent on Palestinian-owned land in the village of Usarin, located south of Nablus, early Monday morning, according to local sources.
The colonists set up the tent on village land, prompting confrontations with local youths who attempted to resist the move. The situation quickly escalated, with scuffles breaking out between the colonists and residents.
Local sources warned that the installation of the tent may be a preliminary step toward establishing a new illegal settlement outpost in the area.
Such outposts often begin with temporary structures before expanding into more permanent settlements, in violation of international law and Palestinian property rights.
