RAMALLAH, June 5, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces launched a pre-dawn raid on Thursday in the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, detaining at least 22 Palestinians, most of whom are former prisoners, and enforcing a complete lockdown on the area.
Local sources reported that Israeli troops stormed the village and rounded up the detainees into a single building, where they were subjected to field interrogations. Among those detained were two brothers, Muayyad and Moataz Sameeh Al-Naasan.
Activist Rabee Abu Alia told WAFA that all entrances to the village have been sealed off by Israeli forces, restricting movement in and out of al-Mughayyir and turning back vehicles attempting to leave or enter.
The raid is the latest in a series of escalated military operations across the West Bank, amid ongoing tensions and violence in the region.
