Israeli artillery also targeted eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City, while airstrikes hit the northwestern outskirts of Khan Younis.
The bombardment comes amid Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023. According to medical sources, the death toll has risen to 54,418, the majority of whom are women and children. Another 124,190 people have been injured. The toll is expected to rise, as many remain trapped under rubble of the targeted buildings.
