GAZA, May 31, 2025 (WAFA) – Two Palestinians were killed and dozens injured early Saturday morning when Israeli occupation forces opened fire on civilians attempting to reach an aid distribution center near Al-Alam Roundabout, west of Rafah in southern Gaza.
Medical and local sources reported that large numbers of people had gathered in hopes of receiving humanitarian assistance when Israeli gunfire erupted, causing multiple casualties.
In a separate incident, emergency teams recovered the bodies of two Palestinians—Mohammed Ali Abu Hajras and Mohammed Eyad Jamil Abu Assi—who were killed in a previous Israeli airstrike targeting the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis, also in southern Gaza.
Israeli military attacks intensified across the region overnight, with warplanes and drones launching heavy strikes on eastern areas of Jabalia in the north of the Strip. Simultaneously, artillery shelling was reported in northeastern parts of the Jabalia refugee camp.
