Dozens of Israeli colonists hold provocative march near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, May 30, 2025 (WAFA) — Dozens of Israeli colonists staged a provocative march on Friday between two illegal settlements to the northwest of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces.

Marwan Sabbah, head of the Umm Safa village council, told WAFA that colonists carrying Israeli flags gathered early in the morning at the entrance of the Ateret settlement before launching a march toward the Halamish settlement. The march proceeded along the main road adjacent to the Palestinian village of Umm Safa.

Israeli military and police forces provided full security for the march, while simultaneously closing the road connecting Nabi Saleh village and the Rawabi roundabout to Palestinian traffic. The closure forced Palestinian residents to use long and indirect detours, causing major disruption to daily movement.
